Many times a text is so much more than its content. The words may be well chosen, the arguments are clear, but the message still does not reach out. Then it might be about time to think about how the text is presented.
In this case, there are a lot of questions to answer and many choices to make:
Do the typeface serve its purpose, what good are the headings, do the body text look too big or too small? Is it possible to reinforce the message with some photos or illustrations? Which part do colours and graphic elements play for the credibility of the message? And these are just a few questions.
Many times the best answer to any question is that it depends. In document layout and design, there is rarely an answer which is entirely right or wrong. It all depends on who you are and what you would like to bring about.
